Sharing our passion for Choral Music with our community.
On March 30th and 31st our "H2Oh" concert has water inspired music on tap with works by contemporary and classic composers from North America and abroad. This concert flows through various eras and cultures, the music's only common element being H2O as each piece sings of the majesty, might, mayhem and mirth that we get from, over, around, on, in, and under water.
The Yellowknife Chamber Choir is pleased to present our first full concert under the direction of Daniel Gillis. Featuring selections from the Early Music era, the concert is entitled 'Going for Baroque' and will include some of the most magnificent and moving choral works of all time. The Chamber Choir will be joined by the Yellowknife Boys' Choir for part of the concert.

"Blessed are they that mourn..." Johannes Brahms once said his choral masterwork, A German Requiem, should instead have referred to "Humanity" instead of "German", for his may be the most comforting, humane requiem ever written. Brahms already had a very personal perspective on mourning. A German Requiem, however, is a message of hope for us all. Brahms took great pains putting together his text, piecing together fragments from throughout the Bible to create a tapestry of solace. Set ordinarily with full orchestra, Aurora Chorealis presents an intimate performance at NACC with featuring guest soloists and four-hands piano accompaniment. Concert dates are March 29 and 30.
The Yellowknife Choral Society presents "A Simple Gift" a musical celebration of the season of giving.
