Jackie Boersma

Jackie Boersma has a passion for teaching both choral and instrumental music to children of all ages. She moved to Yellowknife in August 2006 and became involved in the Yellowknife Choral Society singing with Aurora Chorealis. In September 2007 she accepted the challenge of directing the Fireweed Children’s Chorus. Jackie graduated from Laurier University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1994 and in 2002, she completed the Bachelor of Education program (specializing in music education) from Acadia University. In the summer of 2007, Jackie had the opportunity to participate in the BC Choral Federation’s Choral Directorship Course. She is also a member of the BC Choral Federation.
