Sharing our passion for Choral Music with our community.
Daniel has been singing for most of his life, starting as a boy chorister at the age of 7. He studied piano and voice with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has sung professionally in Victoria, Ottawa and Montreal. Specializing in Early Music, Daniel also has years of experience singing in small ensembles, ranging in styles from jazz to pop and folk. He has sung as a classical soloist with very notable conductors, including Hervé Niquet and Christopher Jackson. Daniel is also an award-winning barbershop singer! He has had many lead roles in musical theater, including several with Ptarmigan Ptheatrics. He formed and directed the Yellowknife Boys' Choir in 2010, and will continue as director of the Boys' Choir. He is pleased to be the new director of the Yellowknife Chamber Choir in 2011, and hopes to carry on the excellent work started by its founder, Shad Turner.
